Applegate Naturals

I’m excited to share with you a great source of lunch meat with you.  Applegate deli meats don’t use  antibiotics, hormones, artificial ingredients or preservatives.  They are also made from animals fed a vegetarian diet and treated humanely!  I’m able to bring you this from Moms Meet.

We tried the Black Forest Ham, Roasted Turkey Breast and Genoa Salami.  We picked them up at our local Sprout’s – and there are quite a few other varieties.  I had honestly never even noticed Applegate, but I will definitely not be passing them up anymore.

Our family likes to do deli night every so often.  A bunch or different meats, cheeses, breads and crackers as well as pesto, hummus and some tasty veggies.  Then we all dig in.  My family loved the new meat choices!

You do have to remember, since these don’t have preservatives they don’t last as long as everyday lunch meat.  Plan on making it last just a few days.  Maybe this is a little annoying, but I love that real food goes back quickly – means it’s real!

My kids take deli meats for lunch quite often.  Sometimes it’s just meat in a bag, other times we do a meat and cheese roll up.  And the salami made a great pizza on pizza night!

Next time you’re looking for something to go alongside some yummy cheese, tomatoes and bread – see if there is some turkey that won’t last for weeks on end in your fridge!

Enter the Giveaway November 2nd!  We are joining YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.  Lots of prizes and a GREAT grand prize.

I LOVE that there are no preservatives! I'm with you…i don't mind if things go bad more quickly, it shows me that it's real. On top of that, it helps with frugality because you have to plan your food, and can't just have a huge amount wasting away in the fridge… between my husband and I, we have 7 kids… usually only the youngest 4 are on hand, but even they have gotten into
